- Well, I'm not using the Coverdisk version, but here's my experience with
- Imagine3.0: check the values on Magnetism/Setup. Maybe you need to make
- them higher to get the effect you need, and there are several options
- (dome/bell/etc.) that affect the shape of the distortion area... check in
- Mode/Pick Method that 'Click' is selected... I usually then use
- 'DragPoints' and drag just ONE point, and the deformation is just what is
- expected (practice first on a 'Plane' primitive object so you get the hang
- of it...).

- You need to select a >Postscript< font (in .pfb format) for the editor to
- be able to use it. Compugraphic and bitmap fonts won't work... there are
- several on Aminet, in fact there are three files (Fonts1.lha, Fonts2.lha,
- Fonts3.lha) that have a lot of excellent PS fonts, many of which are ready
- for Imagine to use. Important: after you create a word, do object/add
- points to extrude it (and bevel if appropiate), then Object/Save Points,
- this file can be opened and edited in Detail, if you just do Object/Save
- what you save is the spline information (no polygons) that only the Spline
- editor can open/modify. >>Warning<<: font objects can be processor
- intensive, if you have a slow machine complex fonts (cursive ones) can bog
- down processing and have way too high point/polygon counts.... hope this
- helps...
